Lifes a Beach

Hi everyone, here is the latest...

Story 1: Newquay
Last weekend we drove across to Newquay for the 'Run to the Sun' festival. Weather was not at its best so we actually 'Ran to the Rain'. This resulted in us spending all our time and $$$ in the old faithful Walkabout. I learnt a valuable lesson there...DO NOT drink pints of cider, and only cider for the entire day and evening. I now know what a pickled roll-mop must feel like. Friday night therefore left me with a slight handicap. We also met some awesome people there. 'M', funny English girl, Dobby and Dave if you reading this, you guys were great fun - get in touch (leave a comment). We surfed a little on saturday but i decided to get out right after a pollar bear bit my feet off and penguins ate out my eyes! So yip, you guessed right Walkabout. Nites out were jam packed but a true English experience. Messed about for most of the time had a few more surfs. Also completely developed amnesia and forgot my lesson on Cider drinking. This time I took it a step further and drank snakebites (gummy-berry juice for big people) for a night...then slipped into a mild coma.

Story 2: A day at the beach
Back home in SA a day at the beach is a normal thing; not much to get excited about. Here thats not true so when myself, Katie and Joan went down to the local beach for a day of sun and sand I took it upon myself to be a true tourist and snap some photos...not that we were posing or anything. 1 of the photos is my fisrt ever catch of mackerel. They tasted delicious on the 'barbeque' (whatever that is. Its braai damnit). Believe it, i have a tan again and no longer the same pasty shade as my ass. Of course there is always the photo of us enjoying a fine Devon Ale 2.
Keep looking...next to come is my visit to Jersey Islands.
Hope everyone is loving life as much as I am.
Keep moving like its marvellous.
P'tong
